Our Approach
Long Island Energy Partners (LIEP) custom-designs high-quality energy solutions for each customer, employing a combination of technologies, ranging from lighting and controls to boiler and chiller replacement to renewable energy installations. LIEP’s strategic approach optimizes both new high‑efficiency equipment and new operating protocols to achieve energy savings of 15 to 30% for a comprehensive project.
As projects come on line, LIEP’s customers immediately begin enjoying additional quantifiable benefits. For every kilowatt-hour of electricity saved, there is a corresponding reduction in energy costs, as well in the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced at the point of power generation.
Take advantage of LIEP’s comprehensive approach, and you’ll be “lean and green” and easily able to meet the Governor’s goal of “15 by 15”—i.e., reducing energy consumption by 15% by 2015. The Steps of a Comprehensive Project
- First, LIEP will visit your facility to do a thorough “walk-through” evaluation of your electric and thermal needs and to determine equipment for retrofit and replacement. The primary goal of this energy audit is to make the building “lean and green” by eliminating unnecessary energy use and using energy more wisely.
- LIEP will follow up with a comprehensive written proposal outlining suggested upgrades and improvements—from lighting to advanced heating and cooling options—and the corresponding energy and financial impacts.
- Once you approve the project, LIEP will help you to apply for utility rebates to offset the cost of the project. The balance can be self-financed, or we can help you to arrange for financing.
- LIEP will install the project on a turnkey basis, hiring the contractor, purchasing materials, and managing the construction.
- At project completion, you immediately start saving energy dollars!
The benefits of LIEP’s comprehensive turnkey approach are numerous:
- Single-source accountability
- Risk mitigation
- State-of-the-art engineering and program management
- Maximum “Go Green” impact
- No interruption of customary work schedule
- Typical savings in excess of 20%.
