Markets
Long Island Energy Partners (LIEP) targets a market sector often ignored by the energy services industry—small to midsize commercial and industrial customers. We are currently active with this customer base in selected industrial parks on Long Island, certain load pockets in Con Edison territory, and with utilities in Southern New England.
Our customers include healthcare organizations, churches and temples, private education, industrial complexes, and retail operations. A selected list follows:
- Crosstex International, Hauppauge, NY
- Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Centerport, NY
- Babs Corporation, Yaphank, NY
- Linens & Things, Long Island
- GSE Dynamics, Hauppauge Industrial Park, NY
- New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), Old Westbury, NY.

At Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Centerport, NY, LIEP replaced 255 outdated lighting fixtures with high-efficiency fluorescent lamps. The results have been dramatic, says Msgr. Peter Ryan, “Our wattage use is way down, resulting in a 25% decrease in electric costs. Plus, we significantly enhanced lighting
quality and aesthetics." |

At Crosstex International in Hauppauge, NY, LIEP installed a state-of-the-art, 150-hp screw compressor, including new air receivers, new dryers, and new piping. Crosstex is a leading global manufacturer of infection control and single-use disposable products for the healthcare industry—high production capability and low operating costs are critical factors. Operations Manager Carmine Todaro Jr. deems the LIEP project a big success, saying “not only did we reduce our monthly electric bill by $3,000, but we increased production and eliminated costly
compressor-related downtime.”
